Juicing with Julian
Part of our ‘My Body is a Temple’ series, Juicing with Julian introduces two simple, delicious immune-boosting smoothies so help bolster our body’s defenses.
Julian Ward, the new Head Chef of The Great Fosters Estate, including the Estate Grill, cocktail bar and the ancient Tithe Barn, has shared with us two of his favourite smoothie recipes, especially for Winter thanks to their immune-boosting properties.
After many years in the city at fashionable eateries such as Vintry & Mercer and The Ministry, Julian joined the Great Fosters team in February 2020. Julian is at the helm of the Estate Kitchen, creating menus for The Estate Grill, the Cocktail Bar, Afternoon Tea, Room Service and our weddings & events menus in The Tithe Barn and our event spaces.

125g Fresh pineapple
1 Passion fruit
Juice of half an orange
Ice
Blitz in a blender and enjoy!
Strawberry & Banana Smoothie – Sweet and smooth, this is great in the morning as an energy boost and is filling too.
125g frozen strawberries
Half a banana (frozen or fresh)
Juice of half an orange (a blood orange gives a fab colour and is even more full of antioxidants to promote the development of white blood cells, which are key to destroying harmful bacteria)
Ice
Blitz in a blender and enjoy!
Both smoothies are full of vitamin C which helps to boost the immune system
