A Lovely Langshott Escape

Tudor with a twist at Langshott - more a private house than a hotel, a Lovely Langshott Escape is ideal for foodies, romantics or those who are seeking 'just because' break. Our intimately sized, illustrious manor provides a perfect weekend getaway with stunning garden areas, an extraordinary dining experience at our 3-AA Rosettes restaurant, The Mulberry.

When we aren't hosting one of our exceptional Exclusive Use events at Langshott, you can hop aboard our 'Lovely Langshott' experience. Slotted between events on selected dates and weekends, come and experience .  and also for people eyeing up the Manor for their own Exclusive Use...

Picture this...

Prepare to escape the everyday at our Tudor-with-a-twist manor house, Langshott Manor. More a private house than a hotel, you can expect a wonderfully personalised experience from our attentive house staff – which will start even before you arrive, with a telephone call from our concierge to understand how everything can be ‘just so’.

As soon as the tyres of your car scrunch onto our winding shingle driveway, you will be transported into our bucolic bubble, complete of course, with some unexpected twists. You need only step onto the drive to be greeted by our team, who will whisk your luggage off to your room whilst you enjoy a guided tour of Lovely Langshott with a glass of chilled locally-produced sparkling wine.

Vintage afternoon tea experience

Your host will guide to your room (one of just twenty-two individually appointed rooms & suites), and will take your order for a French press of coffee or pot of tea to be served to the room in the morning – it’s the small things that make Langshott so truly lovely! Once settled, head down to the Morning Room & Lounge for one of our fabulous afternoon teas, crafted by our head chef, served on charming winky-wonky vintage crockery. We take our tea terribly seriously at Langshott, and you’ll be able to peruse our jars of loose leaf blends, from the familiar to the exotic, to accompany your afternoon tea.

Whet your appetite

In the late afternoon, you can while away an hour or two with boardgames by the fire in the darker months, or a spot of croquet on the lawn in the summer, before getting ready for a splendid supper in our 3-AA rosette dining room, The Mulberry. We’d suggest a cocktail or two in St Peter’s bar before supper, and don’t miss the pantry scraps – a perfect savoury treat before the gastronomic delights that await.

Enjoy £40 per person towards a delicious supper by candlelight in the Mulberry or on a balmy summer’s eve, on the terrace, with a personalised place card keepsake. After dinner, head back to St Peter’s for coffees & sweet bites and perhaps one of our signature Brandy Alexanders?

Little luxuries

After a gorgeous evening downstairs, drift back to your room to find the sheets turned down, luxury night-time amenities on hand and even a few special treats to order – herbal bath soaks for example. Luxuriate with Temple Spa repose night cream and Temple Spa drift away bath & massage oil, and slip beneath the Egyptian cotton sheets for a dreamy night’s sleep.

Breakfast of champions

In the morning, rise with your fresh coffee or tea, before breakfasting at your leisure in the Mulberry until 11am, with a sumptuous spread on the breakfast table and an array of hot dishes from the kitchen, including of course, Eggs Benedict, Royale or Florentine, and a classic cooked English breakfast.
