The second oldest property in the Alexander Hotel Collection, Langshott Manor's history dates back to 1580. Our Moat Mews is home to bedrooms and suites named after Henry VIII and his wives are an homage to the incredible history of this country manor house.

Home to many great families over the last 500 years, Langshott Manor played host to Richard Evelyn (who is the brother of the famous diarist, John Evelyn) and his wife during the reign of King Charles II. Our Grade II listed hotel still holds many of its original features including exposed beams, working fireplaces and grand windows.

Fast forward to the 20th century when Langshott Manor was the home of Lord Montague of Brandon. Following Montague, Major Jennings moved in and provided shelter for many evacuees during World War II. After the war, right up until the 1980s, the manor house laid empty until 1986 when the Noble family joined the Langshott story. Swept away by the charm, history and character that Langshott Manor is known for today, they set about restoring some of the older features of the house and tending to the gardens.
