Spring Wedding Shoot at Alexander House
A Symphony of Luxury: award winning vendors capture the essence of Alexander House in a stunning spring wedding photoshoot
When renowned wedding photographer Andy Kerr and Chelsea Gold Medal winner florists Tim and Steph Willoughby approached us with their ideas for a styled Spring wedding photoshoot we immediately said yes!
International Wedding Awards global winner, Andy Kerr Photography, chose a romantic and elegant style of photography to reflect our elegant Jacobean architecture and decor.
Julie provided a soft smokey eye for Fi, our model using warm brown matt eye shadows and added a warm lipstick colour to enhance the Bride;s natural beauty to give an all round soft glamorous look. All the products used were durable enough to last all day and give that extra confidence of it lasting throughout the day.
Fi’s hair was expertly styled by Toni Todd Bridal Hair into loose, glamorous waves, a favourite choice for this season’s brides. The style was enhanced by a bespoke headpiece from Garter & Veil, adorned with rhinestones and pearls. The look was transitioned effortlessly from daytime chic to evening allure with a glossy, casually swept low ponytail, with the addition of a fun and stylish statement bow, also by Garter & Veil.
Lily Jacobs Bridal Boutique dressed our Bride in this timeless ballgown, Ariane by Sophia Tolli. Its dreamy skirt and chapel train create a regal silhouette. The daring bodice features an off-shoulder neckline with visible boning and organza drapes. Detachable straps offer versatility, while fabric-covered buttons cover zipped back and pockets add a touch of practicality to this enchanting gown.
What a veil!
In a nod to Bridgerton, The Barking Bear curated an enchanting ensemble of canine companions, adorned in bespoke floral collars by Chirpee Flowers. As a dog friendly hotel we welcome the opportunity for our couples’ dogs to play a part in their wedding day. This delightful touch not only added an extra layer of romance but also celebrated the timeless bond between humans and their dogs.
Emily’s Mixing Bowl tells us that she made a 4 tier cake which was inspired by a pastel coloured Bridgerton inspired mood board. She covered the cake in white chocolate ganache and used coloured white chocolate ganache to pipe small coloured blossoms and petals around the cake heavier at the top and cascading down the cake. Emily says ‘I wanted it to look fun but delicate and pretty and I love the way it turned out. I finished the design off with small gold details to highlight the design and catch the light.’
Chelsea Gold medalists, Chirpee Flowers embraced the essence of Bridgerton with a luxurious top table with tropical anthuriums, pale blue delphiniums, and peach and pink roses. Blush pink net and slate blue crepe for the table runner added a touch of drama, reflecting the maximalist style and complementing the grandeur of Alexander House.
